General information

GOVERNORS

Mrs Celia Hastie and Mrs. A. Peploe were recently elected as parent governors. There were three vacancies: if you would like to be considered for the remaining place please contact Maureen Fletcher, Clerk to the Governors. Talk to one of our existing governors, or Maureen, if you would like more information. Mrs Pam Carroll will not be seeking re-appointment as an LEA governor in the new year. We are grateful to her for her support and hard work over a long period of time.

VACANCIES

Lunch time supervisors - 6.25 hours per week (12:50 - 2:05 p.m.). Rate of pay is £5.34 per hour. If you are interested please contact Mr David Dwyer.
Cleaners - 10 hours per week (negotiable). Rate of pay £5.09 per hour. For further details please speak to Mr Roger Morris, Site Manager.

MENTORS

We need more mentors. A group of students in Y10 have applied to be partnered with a community mentor. You would be asked to assist students in compiling CVs, mock interviews and time management. Mentors meet with their students once a month for an hour to set and review targets. This is a voluntary post and we ask for a commitment for the final 18 months of the student’s secondary education. Application forms from students and mentors are studied in an effort to form a successful match.

Mentors come from a variety of careers, those who have just begun and can remember their school days, to those who have retired and have time to spare. We have a waiting list of students wanting mentors.

If you would like to apply or would like some more information please talk to Jo Merritt - 01963 32368.
