Class 7
Hello and welcome to class 7.
In class 7 we like to read, write, do Literacy, art, science and maths. Our Teacher is Mr Foreman and he is very funny.
When he reads stories he makes funny noises and uses different voices. Our favourite lesson is art, we like painting
in art. We also like to work in groups in class 7, as teamwork is fun! In our classroom we have a book corner – a place
for sharing our favourite books. We like to read silently in the book corner. Our book corner is a magical place where
opening a book and using your imagination can send you to another place or send you on an adventure.
Class 8
Class 8 has 7, 8 and 9 year olds in it. We are a mixture of boys and girls and all very friendly. We are all good
at taking turns and don’t shout out.
We have two very kind teachers who are thoughtful with the children. Their names are Mrs Jones and Mrs Taggart. Mrs
Jones teaches us on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning and Mrs Taggart teaches us on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday
and Friday.
Our classroom is the green hut. The advantages are that it is big, there is no noise from other classes next door and
we are next to the vegetable plot.
In school we do lots of fun activities. We have lots of opportunities for news time and have certificates for good
work, hand-writer of the week and person of the week.
Class 9
There are 27 children in our class, 13 boys and 14 girls aged 8 or 9 years old. Our class is in the new mobile classroom
which has been built on part of the school ground. We saw it being delivered by lorry during the summer term. It came
in two pieces and was lifted into place by a crane. It didn't seem to take long to put it together. When we came back
after the holidays our classroom was super. It’s light, airy and nicely decorated. We also have some new red chairs
and Mrs Weekes bought a red computer trolley to match. She is our class-teacher and likes drawing.
In April Year 4 children have a chance to go on a residential to The Wembworthy Centre, Mrs Weekes is driving the mini
bus to take us, so it should be fun.
On Wednesdays Mrs Doyle comes in to work with us, she takes us for Maths and Literacy. Mrs Mugford comes in to teach
us music and singing which we enjoy.
We like our classroom a lot.
