Students in Year 9 continue to follow the four areas that encompass all the key elements of the National Curriculum.

These are:   How to apply and develop skills
    Select and improve skills
Evaluate their own and others performance
Increase their knowledge of Health Related Fitness

This is achieved through involvement in a programme of:

Games -   Netball, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Rounders, Cricket and Tennis
Dance -   Street Dance, Rock and Roll
Swimming -   Stroke Technique, Personal Survival, Life saving and Water Polo
Trampolining -   Set Moves and Advanced Routines
Athletics -   Track and Field

The students also have the opportunity to study a variety of sports in greater depth

The students are encouraged to monitor and record their own performance and are responsible with the guidance of their teachers to set their next target. The National Curriculum Target for the end of Key Stage 3 is 5/6, which the majority of the students achieve, with the more gifted and able students exceeding Level 7.

We have a range of lunchtime clubs, extra-curricular activities and teams which include:
Dance, Netball, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Trampolining, Swimming, Rounders, Judo, Karate, Self Defence, Water Polo, Fencing, Athletics, Tennis, Hockey and Cricket.
