Course Notes

In Year 9 the work is project-based, with the students learning about certain subjects by means of listening to pieces, performing them and composing their own versions. Projects include ‘Rock & Pop’, ‘Musicals’, ‘ Jazz & Blues’ and ‘Opera’.

There is an emphasis on learning the language of music - understanding technical terms and being able to use these appropriately.
