Course Notes

During Year 7 a lot of time is spent developing rhythm and pitch work, including playing African rhythms and singing a wide variety of songs. Basic keyboard skills are developed to enable good use of these instruments. Listening and performing skills are developed in Year 7, but we also begin composition work especially in the Summer term.

Written work is minimal and mostly takes the form of written assessments of their work or music notation skills.
