February 2003 |
Dear Parents
Half-term already! Year 5 (Classes 11 and 12) had an excellent time at Mill-on-the-Brue. The children were a credit
to the school and thoroughly enjoyed all the challenges that they faced. My thanks to Mr Nickels, Mrs Northover, Mrs
Hall, Mrs Reddyhoff, Mrs Failes and Mr Hillier for all their help and support in making the weeks so successful for
the children.
We are looking forward to our choirs performance at the South Somerset Music Spectacular on Thursday 27 March 2003
at Westland Sports and Social Complex. The children and staff are working hard preparing their songs with the theme
of Noahs Ark, Song and Dance. It should be a lovely occasion.
Yours sincerely
V E CAMPBELL
Headteacher

Dinner Money Reminder
Please note that dinner money is payable on THURSDAY for meals taken the following week. The cost per meal is £1.30
- £6.50 per week (if 5 days). Thank you.
Western Gazette: Home Delivery Service
We have included a letter from the Western Gazette concerning their Home Delivery Service. As you can see, the school
will benefit from a £5 book token for every person who takes the opportunity to have their Western Gazette delivered.
Please spread the word to all your family and friends! Many thanks.
Walking to School
Would you please remind the children that they should walk into school using the lower gate (nearest to the Council
Car Park.) Some children (and parents) are walking through the car entrance gate, which could cause an accident. Chess
Club
We have received an offer from one of our parents to run an after school chess club. This would be a lovely opportunity
for the children, but we would like to see if there are any other parents who could help her with this initiative.
Would you please complete the attached slip so that we could contact you about this. Thank you.
